Florida Vs Bammer

Here's a video of a meeting held with Saban, Meyer and Rainey.

Good Man

If you had a coach  that had spent almost 40 years with your program – playing, student coaching, assistant coaching, and head coaching – lived, breathed, and loved your school with all of his heart and soul.  He had won over 75% of his games as a head coach.  He had won the National Championship within the last 10 years.  He had won his division 4 out of the last 8 years with in his conference.  He had multiple conference championships…  Would you want to SHIT CAN HIM!!  oh wait, he just played in the SEC championship?  You can’t fire a guy 2 years after winning 10 games and his division can you?  But what if you had a chance to get a slick west coast guy that is being sued by the team he just got fired from PLUS!! and you got to hear this, he has a record of 5-15!!!

So let me get this straight.  We can FIRE one of our own, who has won us a National Championship, a ton of Division Titles, and 2 Conference titles and bring in a smooth talking west coast guy who has a record of 5-15??  WAIT WAIT WAIT!!  didn’t Coach just win 10 ball games and play in the Conf Title losing to the team that won the National Title?  Yea, but he is lost 4 straight games this year so Fuck him!

This is how the University of Tennessee’s inbred sister fucking people go about their business.

Rusty said, and I quote, “This year, the Dawgs have started out 0-3 in SEC play and Mark Richt may as well already have his head in the guilatine.”  You say this like you are coming from a school that has a lot of patience.  I saw Dooley decide to punt on 4th down mid way through the 4th QT and when they showed the UT crowd they were going NUTS!! Actually Booing their new head coach on National Television.  Thank god for DVR, I was able to rewind it and show the wife just how classless that group of hillbilly fucks are.  Dooley came into a pile a shit that and yall are going to boo him for punting on 4th Down and then less than a week later talk shit about us being upset over a 0-3 start??  I understand the people of Tennessee don’t get out much, but I thought you would have a little more sense than that.  I guess not.

I think it is extremely hypocritical of you to judge the Georgia fan base for having high expectations when UT just fired one of the most legendary people in your entire programs history less than 2 years after he won the East and 10 games…  Hey Pot, I’m Kettle – go FUCK yourself.

Do you think he will show?

This guy remind me of some shit Joe would do. What are the odds this guy is really sitting where he says? It will probably be a church youth group. I say he does not show but if he does you might want to find that section and keep an eye on it.

The end of this video is awful even for this blog.

Just to vent

I love my vols but I can't help but think about how I sat around all off season, waiting patiently for this season to begin and now here I am, wishing it was over.
I know ya gotta give a new coach time and I'm trying. I love Dooley and I think he's the man for the job but at the same time, with the talent that we have at Tennessee, there is absolutely no reason a team like UAB should beat up on us like that. Sure, some like to say a win is a win but come on! It took them missing 5 field goals for us to luck our way into the W column. No excuse.

This weekend I can look forward to a nice non-lubricated raping at the hands of the LSU Tigers, after that, it's on to Athens where I'm really sad to say, we may not even be able to win there and those guys are aweful ( sorry Joe ) Then we follow that up with Bama and South Carolina. It is not only possible but likely that we will not win a single game in the month of October.

Joe and I were talking about how much we'll miss the epic trash talk that takes place every year during the UGA/UT match up and this year the magic is gone. This year, instead of 2 teams fighting it out for a chance to get to the sec championship game, we'll have the battle for the basement. I now know what it's like to be a vandy fan and it ain't cool. Really, no one can talk trash after this game cause it's not about who has the better team this year, it's about which team sucks slightly less.

To all those Georgia fan's out there, I feel your pain.

There was really no point to this post, just an excuse to vent about how my favorite football weekend of the year will take place next weekend and for the first time I can remember. I don't even care.

oh and as an excuse to put up some picture of some faithful fans around the good ole SEC. Unfortunately I had trouble finding any from Tennessee. Go figure.

It sucks to not be an Alabama fan right?

Maybe not.

My apologies to this board...

I'm not sure about the rest of you guys, but I sometimes actually place bets on some of your picks and writeups. As I did this week with Tennessee. It was a small bet so it didn't really matter. But if any of you actually placed a bet due to the DAGGER PICK, then I would like to say that I am sorry. There are about 2 to 3 times a year that I see a line that I absolutely love and feel like the lines makers have made a mistake, and this was one of those times. Obviously I am a UGA fan and maybe that is part of it, but I really thought this was a goldmine of a pick and I personally dropped some change on it. UGA has a lot of problems that I can't begin to explain. It's very disheartening to see the team in this shape. Richt has one more year in my book. It has to change next year or he'll be out as the head coach at UGA. I feel like changes are necessary at the OC position as well as strength and conditioning coordinator. I'm pissed, but I'm still a fan, and always will be. Each one of us have teams who have been thru these rough patches and I feel confident we will emerge from this down turn soon. Don't know how much I'll be posting going forward considering I have never been this disinterested in college football at this stage of the season. (Thanks Dawgs).

Cam Newton and Auburn

Right now Cam Newton has the highest passer rating in the SEC @ 182.47, he is ranked 2nd in passing TD’s with 9 (behind only Mallet), and he leads the entire SEC in rushing with 485 yards (121/gm).  I believe we all can stop wandering if he is the real deal or not..  he is.   So what can stop Auburn from going to Tuscaloosa on Nov 26th (Friday after Thanksgiving – I don’t like this game being the biggest retail shopping day of the year.  I just don’t think its good nationally for it) and battling the Crimson Tide for the SEC West Championship?  Rushing Defense?  Nope.  They rank 3rd in the Conference tied with Alabama at 106 yds/ game.   The only thing that could hurt Auburn this year is their Passing D and I think it is getting better every day.   Could Arkansas pull off a win against em??  maybe.  But Arkansas plays Auburn tough every year, I don’t see this year being any different.

So based off what I have seen so far, Auburn is the 2nd best team behind the Tide in the West and I don’t think they are as far behind them as some may think..  Alabama is beatable.

Auburns remaing schedule.  Louy Monroe (WIN), @UK (WIN), Arkansas at home (Toss up, w/ the pass D being the weak link Arky could win this game), LSU at home (Auburn will be a favorite and should win), @ Miss (WIN), Chatt (WIN), Georgia (WIN) , @ Bama…  So even if the Tiger lose one then they should be going in to T-Town with the West on the line.

Bottom line on Auburn is Coach Gene Chizik has the team playing over their heads.  They show up and have a never say die attitude.  Cam Newton is one, if not THE, most talented players in the SEC and when you have a coach that leads, a playmaker at the helm, and a fan base that is more excited than they have been in years..  its a recipe for success.

Giveaway

photo 1 (2) photo 2

Can you believe they were just giving these away at the Tour Championship? Granit most of them wound up in the trash cans but come on it still says The Tour Championship on it.

I'm outtie 5000 for the weekend boys. I'm off to do this.

Good luck to all this weekend. Yeah that's me dominating a BL on the right with a flavor saver.

Saban to Cowboys??

Lets assume that the Tide wins the National Title this year (which isn’t a reach) and The Cowboys don’t make the playoffs (which isn’t a reach either 0-2) and Jerry “I always get what I want” Jones calls Saban and makes him a ridiculous offer (again, not a reach)…  First thought is that Saban couldn’t work for a guy like Jerry.  Saban would need complete control, kind of like he has at Bama (might as well be the AD, Board of Trustees, and the President).   And I would agree with this thought unless Jerry gives up some control on the GM front.  This would be the furthest reach in this hypothetical, so humor me and lets say that JJ does this.  Would a 5 year 35 Million dollar with all GM duties get Saban to America’s team?   If not, then what would?  And before you Bamars start telling me how happy he is at UA – Saban is a whore.  He has broken every single contract he has ever had.  He would screw his mother for the right deal so don’t give me any of that garbage.

Brett Favre Apparently Undecided If He Will Return To Vikings This Season

ESPN analyst John Clayton reported Monday that, after throwing four interceptions and just one touchdown in the first two games of the 2010-2011 football season, Brett Favre is still undecided about whether he will return to the Minnesota Vikings. "His lack of presence in either game shows that he has not yet committed to a yes or a no answer, though it would appear that he is leaning toward no," Clayton said on SportsCenter, adding that three veteran Vikings players traveled to Favre's locker last Sunday and begged him to return to the team during halftime of the week-two loss to the Dolphins. "With a cumulative QB rating of 56.1, his heart clearly isn't in it. Maybe he's sending a message to Vikings brass that he's ready to call it a career." Following his television appearance, Clayton reportedly received a text message from Favre, who said he would make a decision about returning when he is ready

The Original

I am the original Cod Lock and these picks are as good as gold.  The first one is just like an ATM, it hands out cash.

3* Colorado State is avg scoring 6.3 points a game this year against Col, Nev, and Miami (oh) and giving up 35 pts a game.  Idaho scored 17 on Nebraska, what could be the toughest Defense in the nation, so I feel very comfortable that the Vandals can put up 35 on em and Col St can’t score enough to keep it with in 7.

torrie-wilson-13

(Tori Wilson was born in Idaho and is probably the most famous person out of the state.  Rumor has it that Chris Peterson has his way with her before and after big games..  (I made that up but I bet he could if he wanted too.. and why wouldnt you want to?) She is retired from the WWE but still works out 2 hrs a day to keep her body in amazing shape.  God Bless your soul Tori)

2* Georgia wins this game by 2 touch downs.  The University of Georgia will not open the season with a 1-3 (0-3) record.  I will not happen.  This game is one of the biggest games in Mark Richt’s recent history and will be the game that puts the Dawgs back on track to a 6-2 record going to Jacksonville.

O27471

There is only 1 person that can ring a cow bell and he aint from Mississippi State

1* Auburn is going up for the South Carolina State championship Saturday night.  After taking care of Clemson in a nail biter the University of South Carolina Game Cocks come rolling in.  USC rested up last week while Auburn was getting into a brawl with Clemson, which went into Overtime, with a game against Furman.  The rested Game Cocks take care of business here and prove to the Nation that they are a ligament contender for the SEC this year.

OREGON??

RED ALERT!  RED ALERT!

Russ Teez, Pepper, and Starrett all have picked the Ducks with Reese being the only person that hasn’t yet…  this worries me.  normally when something is to good to be true it is..  If this game covers this may change a lot of things on how I view our picks.  This may turn into a deal where if 3 or more people make the same pick then it becomes the SOUTHERN FRIED COD LOCK.  So I hope you guys understand the importance of this.

SFCL’s record is 0-0.  and the first one was picked by a homosexual, a complete asshole, and a total douche bag.  (i’ll let yall figure out who’s who)

Answers.  Rusty is the homo – anyone who plays Billy Joel on the Piano has to suck pole.  Starrett is the complete asshole – He is right and you are wrong, so shut up.  Culpepper is the total Douche bag – anyone that takes golf this serious is a douche bag in my book.

my picks after a terrible week

last week was rough. I can't remember a weekend of football where I was just wrong about everything I touched. However, they say it's darkest just before the dawn, or some shit like that.

3* Oregon -12
As a Tennessee fan, I can tell you this team is just nasty. Their offence is ridiculous and the defense is just good. In their first 3 games they've thrown 2 shutouts and outscored their opponents 189-13 and yes, I had to pull out a calculator to figure that out. I don't see a team like Arizona State slowing them down any.

2.Miami -3.5
I just don't think Pitt is the team some folks thought they were gonna be and I'm pretty sure Miami has beaten them the last 4 or 5 times they've played. Sure, it's a different team each year but that's an intimidation factor. Just ask a Georgia fan about Florida.

1. UT - 14
As a rule, I don't like to bet on my team, none of us do. However, even though our record doesn't show it, this team is moving in the right direction to build UT back to our former glory and I think Dooley is just the man to take us there. You take away few stupid mistakes last weekend and that game easily could have gone the other way. I'm looking for a for a blow out this weekend and so is the rest of the orange nation

COD LOCKS

3* pick Arizona –6.5

arizona_1

I almost put Iowa as one of my locks last week and I am glad that I did not, AZ is a lot tougher than I thought they would be and even their great running back got held to almost nothing they found a way to win against a great D. I tip my hat to you AZ.

2* pick Oregon –12

more_katelynn_4

I know 2 things about Oregon their offense is awesome and so are their cheer leaders especially this one! ASU won’t hang around in this game long.

1* pick UT –14

Tennessee Hot Girl

UT played a good half against Oregon and a good game against UF (I think the fake punt did them in or they might win that game) Derek Dooley wants to send a message to fans and to the team after losing 2 home games in a row, I think UT walks away with this one.

Slay Your Bookie Picks - With the rare DAGGER PICK

Ok boys, I've been struggling a little picking games this year. The NFL hasn't been to kind to me. However, I will get the ball rolling this weekend in a BIG way. There are about five games that I really like this weekend, with one being a monster.

1* - Stanford -4.5
Stanford looks good this year boys. Harbaugh is doing an excellent job and will get a higher profile job soon. Notre Dame is playing better than I expected, but look for Stanford to knock them back a few notches this weekend.

2* - Oregon -11.5
Oregon will go to Sun Devil stadium and slap the taste out of Dennis Ericson's mouth. ASU played Wisky tough last week, but I don't think they can contain Oregon and their offensive attack. This one will probably go over the total as well.

Other games I like...
Alabama -7
USC -22
NC State +8.5
Miami -3.5
Marshall -6.5

DAGGER PICK
Now, for the pick you have all been waiting for. This one is the pick you make sure not to miss out on boys. The University of Georgia will not go to 1-3 and 0-3 in the SEC. The funny thing about this is while I was sitting in Sanford Stadium last Saturday, I told myself I would not bet on UGA again until I felt like they were ready. And here I am, never feeling more confident about a single bet. Coach Mark Richt is starting to feel the heat from underneath him and he knows how important this game is. If he loses, we probably won't be bowl eligible by the end of the year. Win the game, and we are back in contention for a New Year's Day Bowl. This may be a close game, it may not be, all I know is that Georgia wins on Saturday, and that will be good enough to cash my ticket. Good luck to everyone this weekend, its gonna be a good one.

Nature Boy gets Iced

My Jim Colbert picks-o-the-week!!

I spoke to my boy Jim Colbert just a few minutes ago about this weeks games and my trip to middle GA to do a little hunting. Let me tell you, he's like the old milwaukee commercials from years ago, "it just don't get any better than this". He told me to STFU and listen to him while he spoke, so I did. He told me the following:

1. Dawgs +1 @ MSU: He hates Mississippi and everything about it except the women, the gambling, and "the old man/the mighty miss". He likes to go grabbling.

2. OU -13.5 @ Cincy: Mr. Colbert told me the only good thing about the state of Ohio is when OU comes into town and hands people their asses.

3. UNC -2 @ Rutgers: He hates yankees.

Bonus pick for my followers. This is straight from the man that's never picked his ball out of the cup when he makes a birdie or eagle.

Bonus pick for week 4: UT -13.5 vs UAB: He likes the whiskey.

My thoughts on what is going on in Athens

OK, after a long Saturday, I've tried to think about the good and the bad when talking about the Dawgs. We'll start with the positives...

Aaron Murray is gonna be a great college quarterback. Thats right, I said great, not good. He already exhibits great confidence and awareness and really looks good when he's on the move. Speaking of which, why is he not rolled out of the pocket more? I have no clue. Maybe our OC can answer that. But I'm not hitting the negatives yet.

Our wide receivers made some big catches late in the game. The only problem I see here is there was not a lot of seperation, but when the ball was tossed their way, many of them made some very nice catches.

Our defense is getting close to being really good. We played a much better defensive game this weekend and the tackling was 100 times better. We got fooled on the first series and had some breakdowns that offered some big plays. Part of that is learning a new scheme and knowing where you should be. We'll get there.

Blair Walsh is the best kicker in the country. The guy just puts it thru the uprights when called upon and I was ready for him to bang in a 55 yarder for the win, it just didn't happen. We don't discuss kickers often, but he deserves a shout out.

Now let's move to the negatives.....

Offensive line has been the biggest dissapointment to date. Each of these guys have been starting since freshman and are now juniors and seniors but they aren't creating holes to run thru. The pass blocking was not good this weekend and I think is the main reason we were handed loss #2.

Washaun Ealey has really disappointed me and I'm ready for Caleb King to be back healthy and running the ball. But more than just running the ball, we need his pass protection. Ealey failed miserably blocking and that is the reason he'll always be the #2 back unless he learns how to block. Another thing about Ealey that rubs me the wrong way is that he is always walking around. Coming out of the tunnel before the game, and after halftime, walking onto the field after change of possession. Get a hint Ealey, watch highlights of Knowshon and learn how he won fans over. Let's just hope as UGA fans that Isaaih Crowell decides to be a Dawg.

And the biggest negative of them all is none other than Coach Mike Bobo. Let me preface this with, I hate to be a person who calls out coaches. I don't like to do it. I understand a play is going to work sometimes and not work sometimes, but this guy just doesn't get the clue. I GUARANTEE, I could have easily called a play on the final 3rd and 4 that would have either a)got the first down, or b)went for six points. No doubt in my mind. All he had to do is remember what happened on 4th and 4 earlier in the game. He tried to throw a 5 yard out to the TE and the corner jumped the piss out of it, which left a Georgia receiver down the sideline all alone. Call it again, give a slight pumpfake, and go celebrate in the endzone. I'm in the wrong damn profession obviously. How many times are we gonna line up in the I-Formation and either run between the tackles or run play action and get sacked? How long does it take to realize it is not working? Inexcusable. I have been like Joe and liked Bobo until Saturday. It was an eye opener to me and its time something changes. Saturday should be his last chance at calling plays in my humble opinion if we struggle again. Sorry this was so long, but my blood is still boiling just a little.

Other than that, I do think the team is improving. We played the #12 team in the country without AJ Green, Shaun Chapas, Brandon Smith, Caleb King, Chris Davis, Marcus Dowtin, and a few reserves as well. Things will get better in Athens. That is all.

Things I saw and Things I Didn’t

When your team gets beat with 14 seconds left to play its tough to swallow..  All in All I am not hating on Bobo or Mark Richt.  I do think we are moving in the right direction and hope next weekend is a little more fun.  Let me be perfectly clear here,  I want Mike Bobo to be the offensive coordinator and have the play calling duties and I am happy with Mark Richt as the Head Coach and Todd Grantham is keeping people from scoring 40 on us.

I didn’t see Brandon Jacobs throw his helmet into the Indy crowd but I did see a picture of the goober that caught it..  If you are a grown man and you wear a Peyton Manning Jersey to a football game then I probably don’t have any respect for you in the first place but if a helmet comes flying into your lap and security comes over and says, “give me that back!” – I don’t blame the guy for holding on to it, I just wish he would have looked cooler doing it.  The picture of him in his jersey just looks like he is big pole smoker that was looking forward to going home and putting that helmet on while masturbating..  Ohh, and Peyton put the smack down on lil brother.

I didn’t watch much at all of the Bama game, but I did see a play late in the game when Bama had their scrubs (prolly more talented 2nd string than most team’s starters in D1) in and I saw where Saban, with a 40 something point lead mind you, jumped this guys shit and was so mad that it looked like this was the play that cost them the SEC championship..  Until somebody proves something different, I don’t know how anybody cant make them the favorites to win it all, again.

I saw where Auburn hooked up with a Clemson team that came to fight.  This game looked just like a SEC/SEC game with hard hitting.  Big plays, Big comebacks, Hard Hits, Overtime, this game was a very fun game to watch.

I watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall on friday night and laughed my ass off.  Funny movie.  “i wander if the carpet matches the pub’s”  great quote.

I saw where Derek Dooley is getting his boys to start buying in to what he is about.  I believe Derek is making some mistakes about what he talks about and what he says like a typical 1st year head coach but I was happy with how he hung in with Florida.  That said, I don’t think Florida is your typical Florida team..  It’s hard to imagine that a team that lost one of the greatest players in college football history can drop off any..  Also, Charlie Strong left to become the head coarch of Louy but remember that Urban’s first choice left him after a month..

The Philly’s magic number is 10 and they are starting a series with the Bravos tonight.  Big Big stretch for the Braves.

My Sunday morning thoughts after a good gambling weekend.

I bet if Pepper farted only a dog could have heard it. (Courtesy of T. Hardigree)

What a game. Kyle Parker is a helluva QB. Clemson was the better team and should have won but horse shoes and hand grenades.

Cam Newton is a beast. I'd just wild cat the crap out of him. He gets 3 or 4 yards just by falling forward. Anyone notice that? He's gotta be Yoa Ming's size.

'Burn better get their shit together or those mighty SEC teams will destroy them.

Anyway, for me that was the game of the year so far. Bunch of suckie matchups but what a weekend.

On to other games that impressed me. Is Oregon that strong? Their beating the crap out of people(Bama style).

I called AZ a bunch of softies and they proved me wrong. Iowa helped by spotting them 14 pts.

I didn't watch the UGA game but they need to fire Bobo and let Richt go back to calling plays. He's just being lazy in my opinion. Been saying this for years.

Air Force is playing above their ceiling. I'd hate to run up against them.

Oky St is finally picking up Holgremson's(sp?) offense. They'll kick the crap out of people and keep the petal to the metal all game.

I hate Notre Dame and glad they lost but glad they kept it within 1/2 point.

I'm beginning to hate Boise St.

UF isn't crisp just yet. If they don't get it together they will lose at least 2 games this year.

My Jackets looked a little better on O(perimeter blocking) and the D finally came together a bit in the 2nd half. Russell Wilson will give the D fits next weekend.

Nebraska is scary. I wish T-Mart was wearing old gold and white. Wow!

I hate Les Miles. That's just a weekly thing.

USC is squeaking by and almost flying under the radar. They aren't that good but continue to win. I'm ready for Harbaugh to lay about 70 on them.

Speaking of Harbaugh. Don't let me stir up you Saban lovers, but Jim Harbaugh may be the best coach in the nation. He's doing it at Stanford. They are like the GT of the west. Bunch of smart white boys just balling. I wanted Harbaugh at Tech before PJ was in the discussion.

I think thats' about all and oh, I did do the stone cold 2 beers at one time last night and should be in church right now.

Good day.

This will be me after my successful comeback weekend.

After a perfect week 1 and and not so perfect week 2, I'll make up for it with my picks this weekend and that's the bottom line cause I said so.

3* Navy -2.5 @ La Tech: The triple takes 3 or 4 weeks to get going. I look for the middies to crush La Tech. What?

3* Notre Dame +3.5 @ MSU: Joe Montana aka the greatest QB ever would want me to bet on this. What?

And for my 1st Gulliotine pick of the year:

5* Iowa @ Arizona: Iowa is better in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Low scoring game but they cover easily. What?

This Weekend 9/18

What’s going on this weekend?

Arkansas vs. Georgia – Huge Game for Coach here.  At this point, pretty much every game is big for him.  A win here silent's the haters… at least for a little while but this is how big this game is.   If we win this game then we SHOULD (i probably shouldnt use that term) be 7-1 going to Jacksonville on October 30th.  Florida will have played LSU and Alabama so if they split those games then Florida will also be 6-1.  South Carolina has to go to Auburn, Alabama at home, and then they still have to play Arkansas and Florida.  I think 2-2 is VERY realistic for South Carolina in those 4 games.   So Georgia / Florida could, and probably will, determine who wins the East.  IF the Dawgs fall short this weekend then….  well, I guess Peach Bowl is best case but probably Music City.

3 Tigers vs Tigers – ACC vs. SEC – The ACC looked really bad last week with VT, FSU, Georgia Tech, and Miami all with loses and most, if not all, were embarrassing.  Clemson is good enough to win this game with Harper and Ellington (THE NEW STORM) but I think Auburn will be rocking as they normally do at home in night games.  If this game was at 11 O'clock I would be more worried but I feel comfortable that Auburn represents the SEC proudly.

rainey_370x278 Chris Rainey was arrested and the police report said that he stood outside his girlfriends house and said this.  “I’m here, and I will bust out your window.” She told him to leave. He texted her: “Time to Die Bitch …”  I’m sure threatening to kill someone will not get you suspended for as many games as selling your jersey to a guy on facebook..  we will see.

As for my picks.

3* East Carolina +19 1/2 vs VT – This line shouldn’t be this high against a good VT team let alone a shitty one.  4083967627_73729f614f

2* Wyoming +23 1/2 vs Boise State – The Cowboys hate Boise State and will be fighting for every point covering the 23 1/2.   sexy_cowgirl10  cowgirls_16

1* Hawaii +11 vs Colorado – Again, Hawaii can score score score making really tough for teams to cover double digit lines.

Sexy_Hawaiian0-size-600x0

There is a good chance that Traci will be inviting another family to come over tomorrow and watch the Georgia game with us…  Based on my history of making great impressions on people I am sure I will have something to say about this guy..  He will either be a fan of the blog or he will never want to come to our house again.  I plan on doing my standard introduction question once they arrive, “hey man, do you guys swing?” (very straight face, the face is crucial to selling this) and normally the person says something like, “uhhhh no” (and then they feel really uncomfortable.  OR I will go with #2, this one I learned from older brother (no Reese, not Paul) and it goes something like this, “Hey man, you guys ever have butt sex?”  (again, the face is crucial to the success of this)  So keep your fingers crossed, maybe I will be making a new friend this weekend YEA!!! -  Bourbon or Beer??  I’m thinking Bourbon, I normally make my best impressions when I am good and liquor drunk.

COD LOCK CENTRAL

3* pick NEB –3

Nebraska’s QB T-Mart is not getting hype he deserves courtesy of D. Robinson at Mich. Well Mich plays UMASS this weekend and Martinez will take his chance to beat Jake Locker at home and get in the heisman conversation.

2* pick USC –11.5

I think this is the the week USC puts it all together against a horrible Minn team. Even though USC has not looked great thus far I think we could find 11 guys that could play with Minn

1* pick ARK +3

I don’t see how UGA is favored in this game after their tackling clinic last week and the lack of AJ to keep with the shootout that is playing against Arkansas. I know it is a home game but Ryan Mallet has only played less game in Athens (0) than Murray has.

Ray Ray still has it

You don't need a stand if you're a bad ass Reese. Bare handed deer hunting is where it's at! This was taken right before I snapped his neck! Go Vols!

Rus-Luva's Money Makers

3* ECU + 19.5
By no stretch of the imagination do I think these boys are gonna beat VA tech but they have a pretty high flying offense and a talented QB. They are playing a down and out Va tech team that has just looked terrible. 19.5 is just way to many points for this match up

2* Hawaii +11.
Diddy always said when you've got a winning horse, ride her till she bucks ya!
This team has been impressive so far and they are getting 11 against a Colorado team that got trounced my cal last week be nearly half a hundred. These Samoan SOB's cover once again.

1* New Orleans Saints -6
Weather forecast calls for sunny sky's in san fran on Sunday so the air show is on. Big Monday Night Football show down and Cool Breeze is gonna air it out!

Any of you fellow bloggers deer hunt?

I have a little loose cash and a couple of bass pro gift cards to use. I've been wanting/ needing a good facing the tree climbing stand. I don't bow hunt so that's why I want a facing the tree climber. I've heard people mention The Gunslinger, Summit 180, and the Tomcat II. Any advice/feedback.

Thanks,

Reese

Weekend wrap up

This is a High School football, now matter you dress it up or how many big bowl games you play in Tech fans, it is still a high school football play. With a month to prepare it will and has lost every time since 1995 in a games against a good team. And now that it his been in the ACC for 2 full years I imagine it will not work so good there either (but then again the ACC is yet to win a non conference game) so maybe it will work in your own shitty conference.

Either this guy is the best RB in the SEC or UGAys (for Joe and John) new DC needs to still be yelling at his D. If I learned one thing from this game it is how good A.J. Green really is and how much UGAys offense depends on him. Maybe his suspension will get reduced but if not prepare for a long day against ARK.

Really thought this was going to go the other way I thought Miami would be faster and stronger, I didn’t watch much of the game so I can’t give insight on why but I thought Miami would win.

Who you rather have in the big game? This guy or the guy that just got trounced by the coach formerly known as “big game Bob”? Maybe if they keep playing FSU he will get his nickname back!

COD LOCK results 9/11

BIGGEST WINNER OF THE WEEK!!1

Jody +6*s

1* Michigan +4 WINNER -

2* Oklahoma –7 1/2 WINNER

3* San Jose St +38 – WINNER – great pick here Jody!  Wisc didn’t even score in the 30’s and SJS got 2 td’s and I think that is exactly what you said would happen.

BIGGEST POLE SMOKER OF THE WEEK

Reese –6*’s

1* Georgia Tech –13 1/2 LOSER – WOW!!  Are you kidding me?  Turner Gill?  The Jay Hawks?  As a double digit favorite?  PJ gave TG a BJ.

2* FSU +7 – LOSER Another great pick here.  They lost by 30 points.

3* Oklahoma State –13 1/2 LOSER – Should have lost this game.  The men of Troy have a history of stepping up against Big 12 schools and they did again.

All in all Reese, you wouldn’t have hit any of your games if you would have Teased it and gotten 10 points per game.  You would have still lost every game even you would have gotten 10 points.  By far the worse week we have had on the blog yet…

THE REST OF THE FIELD

Starrett +4*s

1* UGA +3 – LOSER not much to say here..  I hadn’t put my thoughts together yet

2* LSU –13 – WINNER - Nice win here.  I thought the line was a little low here but thought it was a little too low.  Nice job jumping on this.

3* Auburn WINNER – a win is a win.

Culpepper +4*S

3* LSU –9 1/2 WINNER been said

2* Stanford –6 WINNER very nice pick here pepper.  Stanford completely dominated UCLA as a small road favorite.

1* FSU +7 LOSER been said

Rusteez +4*’S (ASSUMING ATL COVERS / EVEN MONEY IF THEY DONT)

1* Da U +8 1/2 LOSER – close game and if Harris dont throw 13 interceptions then i think the Canes win let alone cover.

2* Falcoons -2

3* Hawaii +3 WINNER – was a little worried about the time of game for Hawaii but this game was never in question.  This is a 3* pick Rusty.  Nice Job..

Joe EVEN*’s

1* Wyoming +29 WINNER

2* Hawaii +3 WINNER

3* UGA +3  LOSER

Pulley –4*’s THE ONLY REASON YOU ARE NOT THE WEEKS BIGGEST LOSER IS REESE MADE SURE HE WAS..  you are a big pole smoker.

1* Bama –12 – WINNER – Bama is bigger, faster, stronger, more disciplined, better coached, than anybody in the Country.  period.

2* West Va –12 – LOSER – should have lost this double digit favorite straight up

3* Oklahoma State –13 1/2 LOSER – another double digit favorite you should have lost straight up.

Week 2 ball busters

I'm too stupid to figure out how to layout my pics after my write up so forgive me. I added some I candy for Pepper to look at anyway. I hate only having to pick 3 games. If I like 10 I bet on 10. If I don't like any, I have no problen riding solo for the weekend. With that said I like 5 games this weekend, but I'll try to give you my best 3 (for cod lock results) and 2 bonus picks for you that have faith in me and just want my advice. All max stars whatever that may be.

1. GT -13.5 @ Kansas: Kansas had to be looking past NDSt last week and didn't prep for them at all. With that said, Turner Gill used to run an option attack for the Big Red. He mainly used a double option attack out of an I. He's never faced a beast like this before. This gets ugly and Nesbitt has a big day spinning the ball.

2. FSU +7 @ OU: Talent wise it is equal or maybe in favor of the noles a tad. Ponder is the real deal and I think Stoops has the D out of the ice age and playing up to their capability. Go money line if you want.

3. Oky St -13.5 vs T Roy: T. Boone Pickens has more power than any one in college football. He obviously thinks like me and liked Houston's offense so much last year that he went out and bought their OC. It should be clicking even more as the learning curve to a new offense levels out more from week 1 to 2. Big day from the 26 yr old QB.

**Bonus picks** for those of you following Reese "The Greek " this week:

4. Da U + 8 @ tOSU: According to my good buddy Will English in a convo we had some time ago.............

Me: "Will, why do you think all those south Florida players are so fast.

Will: Well, when these islanders that eat jerk meat and chicken come over here and breed with main land athletes they, in turn, create a "Super Athlete". They have milk and all sorts of protein at their disposal now that they are off the island".

Me: Ok. Good enough for me.

With that said, I don't think OSU has as many "Super Athletes" as Da U.

5. Michigan +3.5 at ND: Rich Rod has his boys finally playing up to his level expectation. ND doesn't have the speed on D to keep up with UM. High scoring game.

2nd Week underway

Auburn didn’t look as bad as some Auburn fans are thinking, at least not to me.  I have spoken to a couple today and you would have thought they lost the damn game.  A road win in the SEC is a good win, be happy and don’t embarrass us against Clemson next weekend.  Cam Newton is the real deal and the way he handled the post game interview was classy.  I hope this kid has a good year and I will stop calling him a thief.. at least until they play UGA.  #90 on the D Line is a beast!  Really fun to watch him handle double teams like they are nothing.  And I am still on Mullen’s ball sack, and I think Reese is also.

FSU going to Norman will be very interesting.  Oklahoma has the longest active home winning streak and I think FSU could snap it.   Ponder will either leave this game in the Heisman race or Oklahoma will leave as a front runner for the National title game.

Da U at the Horse Shoe smells like another possible upset.  I am pulling for the U but not sure how Miami is entering the game mentally.  I heard an interview with Coach RS and it didn’t feel like the swagger of the U of old…

Alabama and Penn State is going to be fun to watch.  The tradition of these to schools dwarf most schools.  And the fact that the uniforms or helmets have not changed makes it even better.  When you see those Crimson helmets with the numbers going head on with those solid white ones, you know you are watching the University of Alabama and Penn State.  I hope that the Bama fans will pay respect to Joe Pa with a loud ass standing ovation - I think Bear would appreciate it.

Georgia has to win Saturday.  I know that us Georgia fans are passionate and sometimes may have higher expectations than the nation, but isn’t that what a fan is supposed to do?  I believe that this game dictates our season.  I believe that if South Carolina wins this game, no matter how close, then our season goes down also.  I think that we could end up with a miserable season if we don’t take care of business tomorrow and I am very nervous.  A win = the SEC East title and a L = 8-4 at best.  Hopeful the team is going into it with those same thoughts.

Quick Picks

I am in the middle of a shit storm at work so there will be no write up for my picks....

3* Ok State (-13.5)

2* West Virginia (-12)

1* Alabama (12)

I will try to get back on here and give a write up. Just wanted to get my picks posted.

RMFT and good luck this weekend boys.

Cod Locks

Well the NFL season is officiall underway. We had a real shootout last night and it was quite entertaining at 14-9.

I wanted to share a breakdown of some of the teams strenghts and weaknesses that I lifted off of ameicas greatest news source."the Onion"

San Diego - Unmatched at dominating the competition all season long and then dramatically losing in their first playoff game
Tampa Bay - They play the Rams, so at least one of those teams won't have to lose every game this season
Green Bay - After giving up 50 sacks in 2009, Green Bay's offensive line appears to have forgiven Aaron Rodgers for whatever he did
New Orleans - Drew Brees didn't lose his right arm in a logging accident, so that bodes well
Washington - Acquisition of 33-year-old Donovan McNabb gives them a solid quarterback for maybe four weeks
San Francisco - He may not be a Joe Montana, but Alex Smith is proving to be a better QB than Jim Druckenmiller, Gio Carmazzi, or Steve Stenstrom ever were
Miami - With a new big-name free agent and a talented young quarterback, Miami has the potential to disappoint like never before.
Kansas City -  Easy schedule as team plays seven games in the CFL this season
Cleveland - n/a

And finally, a couple of the weaknesses:
Dallas - Other than being the most infuriating, knuckle-whitening, I-want-to-throw-a-brick-through-my-television-set-when-I-watch-them team in the league, they are a little weak at free safety
Cincinnatti - Terrell Owens wants to prove he can still play at a high level, but he wants to systematically destroy an entire football organization much, much more

Now, on to my pics for the week.

3. NCAA Hawaii +3

Sorry but the boys just looked good last week. They put up 36 on USC, granted they are not the usc of old but still.

Also, Army doesn't play well at home. They are 3-9 ATS at home in the last 12 and 1-7 SU in the last 8.

I'm guessing HAwaii wins this one by a touchdown.

2. NFL Atl -2

I think the coons take advantage of a Ben-less team and take care of business in a big way

1. NCAA Miami +8.5

For the simple reason that I love their QB and this is just way too many point to hand to a team like Miami.

I would have loves to say my Vols are gonna shock the world this weekend and I do think they have a chance if they can find a way to control time of possesion and win the turnover battle.

But I aint putting a dime down to back that up.

Happy football weekend to all
