Tiger playing this weekend at Bridgestone

Well, Tiger is making his return to competitive golf this weekend at Bridgestone and I for one am pumped up about it. Like him or not (and I do like him), he put the game of golf on the national stage. Don't believe me? Go back and look at the money winners were making pre-Tiger and look at the paychecks these guys are cashing today. He has brought so many people into the game of golf and with that comes the big money companies who want their brand advertised. He also is going with a high school friend as his caddy. Bryan Bell has spot caddied in the past, including a win at the Buick Invitational in 1999. Also two second place finishes are on his resume. I think it'll do Tiger good to have a good friend on the bag to make Tiger comfortable. I don't think he'll win, but I wouldn't be shocked if he does. Grip it and rip it Tiger.

  1. I will be pulling for him. and Good Luck in tourney bro. I will be checking for updates. If you make it to any final tables you need to get a big Southern Fried patch on your shirt.

  2. Even though there are quite a few young guns on the PGA Tour today, they still need Tiger. Him making an announcement that he is playing next week was probably worth a hundred million to the PGA. Not too surprised by his choice of caddy. Bell has been there before and it will be good for Tiger to have a familiar face for his return. That being said, I find it odd that he hasn't cut ties with this dude. He is, after all, the guy that supposedly made all of the travel arrangements for Tigers broads.

  3. He's not going to cut ties with one of his best friends. Look at the guy in the pic, you think he's the one pushing Tiger down that path? He does what Tiger tells him to do. It's not quite the same as the thugs Mike Vick was running with keeping him in trouble all the time.

  4. Either way, all this talk is about Tiger rehabbing his image and trying to make a fresh start. I agree that you don't cut ties with your best friend and there is no way this joker ever made Tiger do anything. But if you were overhauling your image - that would be one helluva project - wouldn't you distance yourself from the guy that set up the ass you were slapping?
