Toomers Corner.....

I must say that I was expecting some blog activity this morning after the reports of the poisoned trees in Cow Town, AL was released. Whoever this idiot is that did this should be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible. At the same time, it should be noted that one idiot doesn't represent an entire fan base.

Because I am not educated in the use of Clitter, I really don't understand one of the comments that I can see on Culpeckers account. By that I mean I cannot tell if this is something he posted or something that someone else sent to him. However, if I am understanding it the right way, I have this to say......Blaming this on all Bama fans makes you even dumber than your your "Bradweiser - King of Queers" t shirt. And if it takes something like this to get you fired up for the Iron Bowl, you shouldn't call yourself an Auburn fan.

I was reading one of the ESPN blogs last night about this story and some of the comments were quite comical. These two fan bases seem to get a thrill out of calling the each other low rent, redneck, classless, dumb, ignorant, inbred when in reality it just makes both sides look stupid.

  1. Brad, you comment said "BAMMERS". I am not sure if you understand this, but when you add an "s" it typically indicates plural or multiple people. Maybe you should take an extra English class. And I guess that putting an Auburn jersey on the Bear Bryant statue and burning the final score into the grass at the quad are all just acceptable acts performed by the the high class, sophisticated Auburn fans, right? Like the end of my post states, it is comical that one set of fans thinks that the other is any more classless or redneck than the other. I grew up in Tuscaloosa, partied in Cow Town and I can tell you that there are equal parts of both in each place.

Joe, I am not apologizing for this idiot. I just stated that it shouldn't be placed on an entire fan base. It sucks that a tradition could be ruined, but after seeing pictures of the Auburn fans from the NC trophy tour maybe all of that wasted toilet paper would be better used in the trailer parks.

  2. And no Brad, having a child hasn't made me any wiser. If anything, it has robbed me of the few remaining brain cells that I had. My days and times are all jacked up. I get pooped and pissed on daily. And I am not talking about the golden showers that you like at the Happy Ending Parlors either. Yesterday I was changing Dylan and he managed to pee on my, the changing table, the wall, his clothes, the floor and the fresh diaper.

But its all good. I wouldn't change any of it for anything.

  3. 1. I know it is horrible that it took all those resources to untape a jersey, must have been tough in T-town that day.

    2. The grass was not burned it was over seeded with rye grass which can be cut. Those are called pranks, they cost no money to fix and they make fun of your rival.

    3. The fact that you are even comparing the level class involved in tape removal, and grass cutting to replacing 2 130 year old oak tress well........that just means you truly are a Bammer and don't know what class is.

  4. Its not the level of class in these latest incidents that I find so humorous. I know that you are small town and very rarely venture out of the mighty metropolis of Villa Rica, but the State of Alabama in general isn't much to brag about. People from one fan base name calling the people from the other fan base is hilarious.

And to make sure I am following you, there are "levels" of classlessness? (I don't know if that is really a word) That, to me, is like saying that something was only a "white lie". A lie is a fucking lie and classless is classless no matter how you look at it. Unless you are an Auburn fan and then I guess its a lot like beauty and it is all in the eye of the beholder.

And yes, it did cost money to take down the jersey and cut the grass. Last I checked maintenance didn't work for free. That is a weak argument on my part but I couldn't resist.

Damn it is nice to have a little action on the blog!!

  5. I am repulsed by this story, no question about it. To blame all Bama people is ridiculous however, but in the heat of the moment, you will hear that. If some Gator made his way to Athens and took a sledge hammer to the arches, Gator fans would all be cursed, even though the majority of them would not approve of one idiots actions. I hope this guy serves time in prison for this. This guy is actually a danger to our society.

  6. i was not talking about you pulley, but everybody down here on the call in shows and on facebook is all trying to distance themselves from this loon and i just think if you have to distance yourself from someone this fucking crazy then you may be feeling a little guilty deep down inside.. (again, using you as the people that im referring to not "you" as in pulley. I will try to always refer to you, pulley, as dip shit or slap dick)

It's like the white guy that says, "my best friend high school was black" if you are having to say that - then you prolly have a problem with our colored brothers.

  7. Joe, I am fine with any of those names. And you are right about people distancing themselves. The ESPN blogs were filled with that shit. Clearly this dude has a screw loose. Do you kind of think that this guy has balls to do what he did? I can't imagine what Auburn fans would have done to this guy had he been caught in the act.

  8. i listened to the call last night on Finebaum and yes, i do believe that he did it. and i also feel that he is proud of his actions. i think he is pumped that he will forever be remembered as "That Guy" - after listening to it I told Traci when I got home that it wouldn't surprise me if the guy is a Barner that has come up with his own little conspiracy to fuel a rivalry that needs no fueling. he said at the end of the call "Roll Damn Tide" and that just isnt something you hear much of. Its Roll Mother Fucking Tide and War Damn Eagle - so I actually was thinking this could be a conspiracy but it turns out that he is exactly who he said he was on the Radio and lives exactly in the city that he said he lives in.. that should tell you a lot about the guy.

  9. and by the way, when will the Barn start selling parts of the tree to raise money for their next great QB?
