PJ looks and sounds to be in a better mood this offseason. He still has a gut, but who wouldn't? I really feel my boys are going to do a shit ton better than people think. Bumper to bumper traffic stopped when he crossed the road.
The O line is still a young group(fewest combined starts in the ACC). Potential is high for this group per PJ.
The D is going to be better in yr two under CAG. Young secondary, but as skilled as ever at GT. Remember the name Jeremiah Attaochu. He's a true Soph that is going to wreak havoc LT style, no not raping 16 yr old prostitutes. He along with the other LB's will be the strength of the 3-4.
The DL is what makes the 3-4 work and this is probably the weakest part of the team. We'll just have to see if they can make up for lack of talent with exceptional coaching.
I see my team averaging 32 pts/game and giving up 21 pts/game. 425 yds offense/ game
9-3 record.
C'mon it's time to let me know what you think. Let the college football cussing begin.

ReplyDeletePJ is 2-0 against the Noles. We'll be playing them in the ACCCG.
ReplyDeleteJoe, you know you love PJ and how can you not like a guy that still sports Oakley's?
ReplyDeleteHonestly I think the triple option jig has run it's coarse. As I said a long time ago it would work for a while then people would catch on to it. The fact is, I know I have said this a 100 times, you don't need great or even good players to stop the triple option. All you need is to play assignment football. Yes occasionally you will catch some teams off guard but those days will few and far between. You should be hoping PJ wins 5 games so four years from now you can forget you ever ran the option.
ReplyDeleteI respect your opinion Pepper, but I think that it's very inaccurate. Auburn's offense is as much "gimmick" as PJ's. GT's problem is not the option, it's been the threat of having the deep ball/passing or lack there of.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have to worry about the deep ball then you can stop or hurt the option.
Had Nesbitt not gone down last year, GT, as bad as they were, would have won 3 or 4 more games. VT would have gone down and we wouldn't be having the conversation about The 30 running it's course. Turnovers is what hurt us last year. Ask UGA if they stopped the offense. I will give you this and I've won a lot of money on this, always go with the under when two option teams play each other. They know how to play it.
Reese I don't think the triple option is a gimmick just like I don't think AU's offense is a gimmick. It is more about how good of a RB can you get when he will have his carries divided into 4ths. No QB that can run and throw the ball down the field would choose lining up under center and pounding it up the gut over the new option of the spread and starting in shotgun.
ReplyDeleteHis name is Vad Lee and just stepped on campus. Give him a year or two and get back to me on that.
ReplyDeleteAnd the RB is RS FR Charles Perkins. Some said he was the best to come out of the state in '09.
ReplyDeleteMy point exactly. You get a three star RB and your little pecker gets hard. The only reason I am going to watch your boring ass team is to see how Brodderick Snoddy's speed transfers to the college game.
ReplyDelete'You get a three star RB and your little pecker gets hard' pepper 1 reese 0
ReplyDeleteSnoddy wil ride the pine and not be a factor for a couple of years. He should be a pretty decent A back once he gets it down. I'm pulling for him. They claim he has SEC speed.
ReplyDeleteHis best 100m time is 10.4 and he just finished second in the nation in (i think the 60) whatever event he ran in. But because of him you will his best friend next year who is a CB and a much higher rated recruit.
ReplyDeleteWho gives a fuck about stars. That's only due to the amount of subscribers to Scout/Rivals. The more subscribers, the more *'s. I've seen guys commit to GT or another similar school and switch to an LSU or FSU and watched the star go from 3 to 4. It's BS.
