Huh?

Today on the Bleacher Report, their are some interesting things about the SEC... Here are some quotes from the article that was about if the SEC is getting boring because of it being so top heavy with Florida and Alabama. give me your thoughts.

Mark Richt doesn't have the talent or the drive to overtake Florida this year. He and the dogs seem content to simply have "Winning seasons" and bowl games and some are wondering where the hunger is on this team.

Tennessee is still rebuilding and changing regimes yet again. This is the third coach in three years and that can't translate into a big season in anyone's book.

Auburn? Please folks, did you miss the late season melt down? If anyone thinks one recruiting class makes a difference in one year, change your diaper and quit getting fairy tales read to you. While they may be improving, they're not in Alabama's league yet.

I dont know about you guys but the SEC is all but boring to me. While we had a rematch in the SEC championship game we still had extremly close games through out the year. I understand that Florida and Bama are the favorites to play for it again this year but "boring"? really? was watching Bama having to block a field goal in the final seconds to beat UT boring? and that same evening watching Florida struggle at Mississippi State, was that boring? and that was just one day in the SEC. evey conference game Bama played last year they were a favorite to win and my close friend jody who is a ridiculous bama fan knew that no matter who they were playing that Bama better be ready because anybody in the SEC can beat anybody else. and as long as we have that, then, to quote yoda... boring the SEC is not.

  1. I agree with you Joe. The only reason the SEC is boring to people is because the team they pull for is in some sissy ass conference that gets there brains kicked in by the SEC every year.

Every team in the SEC can beat you on any Saturday.

  2. BUT!! do we think this just because we are in the SEC? I would like to think that since we (SEC) have had 3 different teams win the National Championship in the past 4 years says something. the big 12 has had 3 teams over last 13 years and big 10 has had 3 teams over the last 22 years. the should say something about the amount of top tier teams in the SEC vs. other top tier teams.

  3. I'm tired of all this SEC shit/ conference love. Pull for your team and stop talking about ohhhhh that was a hard fought game/ Big SEC win against Vandy or Kentucky or any other of the slap dick teams in the SEC. When an out of conference team beats that same SEC team it's because they beat a lesser SEC team. I wish there were no conferences. SEC talk makes me wanna puke and shit my pants at the same time. Two good teams don't make everyone else better. Yes, Bama and UF(trending downward after Mullen left) are the cream but that doesn't make UGA any better. LSU is on a downward spiral, so they don't help matters.

  4. 30-24 you slap dick, 'nuff said?
Reese, honestly, just b/c GT is in one of the worst conferences in all of D1 football, you don't have to get mad about it. The dawgs show up in the A-T-L and beat the ACC "champs". I'd guess Tech would be 6-8 best in SEC.

  5. The SEC is the best in the best confrecnce right now but it goes in cycles, did anyone argue when the Big 12 won 4 championships from 1995 until 2000 no they did not people should give us the same respect now. The SEC will soon be so loaded with recruiting classes they no one be able to play for the big teams until they are a senior and we go down for a while like the Big 12 that is how it happend to them and that is just how it goes.

  6. actually the big 12 won it in 94 also but my point was that 3 teams did it in 4 years in the SEC and only 2 teams (OU and Nebraska) with the big 12. i think the fact that 3 teams did it with the SEC goes a long way. AND a different team than the 3 mentioned finished 2nd in the final AP poll the year LSU did it.

@reese - if my team was in the ACC i would hate conference also, especially when the conference proved that when you have more quality teams (like when yall picked up VT, Miami, and BC) that is much much harder to have a very successful season. thats why before the ACC picked up stronger teams FSU was winning it all and since then the ACC has been... well pretty pathetic. i mean normally the orange bowl is the worst bowl because it has a 15th ranked ACC team that won its conference with 3 or 4 loses. i mean how interesting was the ACC championship game this year after both teams involved lost to average SEC teams.

  7. F all ya'll SEC homers. When GT starts dominating the country you won't hear me crying how tough the ACC is week in and week out. Are ya'll brainwashed at birth to pull for the conference before your team? What a bunch of freaks. If you're gonna talk shit, talk it about your team. Don't give me a lot of blah blah blah about how tough of conference you play in. If you can't handle being owned by the top teams in your conference either shut up or move down to DII ball and please stop riding on their coat tails. 2013 is when GT and PJ come into Tuscaloosa and slap Saban(if he's still there) in the mouth. Dawgs fans get ready to get it in the butt this year in Athens.
