David Hale has a post on his blog (David Hale is a beat writer on the Bulldogs - he has a blog that is a real good read. he is very informed and is NOT a Ga fan so you get a non biased approach) - his last couple of post have been very very good. THIS ONE is about the how the conferences stack up against each other in several different aspects(recuriting, bowl games, players in NFL, just a whole bunch of shit) and it was shocking to me where the ACC ends up... I would love to here your thoughts on this... AND then check out THIS ONE where he really dives in to the difference between a 5 and 3 star guy. you will enjoy both of these write ups...
Jody posed the question about who will make the best QB out of this years draft? Here is what Kiper and McCshay have on their lists, let me know if yours is different.
Kiper's Board McCshay's Board
Bradford Bradford
Clausen Clausen
McCoy McCoy
LeFevour Pike
Tebow Tebow
Sam Bradford is 6-4 223. I did not know that. I thought he was shorter and smaller. At of all these QB's Bradford to me seems like he has the best arm. i also like the fact that he played at a big school. i understand that you got your joe flacos out there but they are few and far between. Let me be clear here. I DO NOT PICK A QB IN FIRST ROUND!!! There is 5 OT's randed in the top 32 and i would take the 5th one before i picked up a QB. so if im asked who i would prefer... its Bradford. if im a GM and drafting, then i probably pick up Tony Pike @ 23 years old and 6-6 and see if i can groom him into something. if i dont have a QB and i have to have a QB right now. then i trade for one. i would rather have a Pennington type QB than to start a rookie that is not going to play good that im paying more than anybody on the team.

If I were Jerry Jones and it is my turn to take the 27th pick I am taking a D-Back (ie Javier Arenas)duel threat. Jones like the SEC players. With my second pick, the QB, I am taking Levi Brown (Troy). Heres why, first Romo sucks but he will be there another year or two. That will give Brown time to adjust to the NFL. Second he has the mental and physical abilities to play QB in the NFL (Arm, size and brains). And last I am a homer and I want another Troy player with the Cowboys, the first one worked out pretty good. Don't you think(D WARE)?
ReplyDeleteAll this to say IF I was picking QBs Levi Brown would be my pick, no bid expectations and time to grow.

QB's that will have the most success in the NFL:
ReplyDelete1. Bradford
2. Tony Pike
3. Max Hall
4. Riley Skinner
5. Dan LeFevour
dont you think you could pick him (levi) up in the 5th or 6th round? arenas is projected 3-4 round also. so the 2 guys you want you could pick up with your 3rd and 5th pick and you still have your 1st, 2nd, and 4th pick available. then you could trade some of these picks on free agents and get immediate results. OR be able to spend these picks on other areas that you need like offensive line, or especially inside LB. Brooking's time is limited. So use your 1st pick on the best ILB available. 2 of the 5 people up for rookie of the year were LB's so obviously they can make an immediate impact. somebody like spikes would be perfect.
ReplyDeletei was using arenas as an example. i think there is more need right now at DB than anywhere else on the team. as far as levi i know he is projected late but i would hate for a team with more of instant need for QB snatch him up. i think the LB group is pretty strong this year and that is a definant need so maybe there will be some good players left late. we will see.

Reese, WTF? Max Hall and Riley Skinner will never see the field in the regular season of an NFL game. Its 50/50 if they'll see the field in the preseason.
ReplyDeletemax hall OR riley skinner will NEVER!! see the field - maybe MAYBE one of the 2 will be a 2nd string in the Canadian league
ReplyDeleteI know but this crop of QB's sux this year.
ReplyDeleteMax Hall and Riley Skinner = Slap Dicks
