This is a list of people that this blog hates the most. These people are affiliated with sports somehow. Either they play, they coach, they own, they broadcast, or you see them at the games ie Jack at the Lakers game. I would like this list to be like most of the things on Southern Fried and to represent this blog, it’s bloggers, and it’s readers. So I am looking for comments here. Likes, Dislikes, suggestions, etc.. So lets get started.
Lou Holtz – Stroke face himself. He makes absolutely no sense I would rather put my dick in a meat grinder than listen to him speak. His bullshit pregame speeches on ESPN make me cringe and I pray that one of his magic tricks is to make himself disappear.
Steven A Smith – THUG!! How this guy has a radio show I will never know. If you don’t speak ebonics then don’t try and listen because you will be clueless as to what is going on.
Barry Bonds – Not because of the steroids. Not because of the tax evasion. Not because of the mistress. Ok, maybe a little bit of this stuff or maybe all of it collectively but Barry Bonds is the most unapproachable person in sports and he has no right to be.
Tiger Woods – I put him on this list for Culpepper and Reese. We all have heard your reasons and I thought they were good enough for him to make it.
Michael Vick – I didn’t really have a problem with the Dog Fighting. But this last shooting deal at 2 am at a party puts him on my list.
John Calipari – If you like anything about Collegiate athletics then you hate this man. He is everything that is wrong with it.
George Steinbrenner – Do I really need an explanation here?
Nolan Richardson – first of all he sues Arkansas for racial reasons and loses.. he had the worst graduation rate of any coach, even the black ones – and now he is in the WNBA
Lane Kiffin – Kid Kiffin. When Al Davis called him a worthless liar we all thought Al was just saying something crazy again… Turns out Ol’ man Al actually knew what he was talking about here.
Craig and Adam James – Poster boy of why you should beat your kids ass.. We all have known this guy. And we didn’t like him. He may not make the final list but why not put him on the rough draft.
Terrell Ownes – Really! Are you serious? Can you be any more of a douche bag? Every team you go to ends up not liking you. You weren’t even a good fantasy wr last year. So shut up.
Bud Sleig – Could their be a worse commissioner of a professional sport? I can’t think of one. He embraced steriods while everyone was watching the homerun battle between Mark and Sammy and then plays dumb. Plus he looks creepy.
Who else will make our list and who needs to come off?

You are nuts re: Calipari. Your criticism of him is superficial and is an attempt to lay at his feet the total falacy that college basketball is about "student athletes." Way too easy to just follow the NY media line that he is "dirty." On a daily basis, I see this guy's interactions with his kids, the media, the public, the fans, and local charities and civic organizations. While he is as full of BS as most big time college coaches, he is a good dude, and certainly doesn't belong on a list with these other slugs.

This was the biggest night in the winning-est college basketball program's history? not when Rupp won back to back titles? not after he lost to an all black team and signed his first "colored" basketball player changing the history of sport in the state? not tubby winning a title as the first African head coarch at UK, in his first year?
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of college basketball a couple of things come to mind and Kentucky is at the top. even if its a game they lost like to Duke when they threw the bomb to hill and i remember seeing Pitno's face and hearing him take the blame after the game. now what does Kentucky have? some yankee mofia style douche bag that after being at UK a year can say that his thugs are now millionaires is the biggest night in the schools history.
as for him being dirty... i'm not just going with what the NY media says. actually i think they give the guy a pass. ESPN puts him on everyone of their shows pumping him up as the greatest coach ever, mean while not mentioning the fact that he has had more #1 seeds with out a title than any coach in basketball history (i'm guessing on that stat) while leaving out the fact that all of his accomplishments get torn down and vacated after he leaves.
So as a UK fan I hope you enjoy hanging a final 4 banner every now and again because you probably will not be defending this sleeze bag when you have to take them down.
I am agreeing with Joe on coach Cal. He might rock babies to sleep every night and plant flowers in old ladies yards everyday, but I still don't like him. I am not following the New York media to say he is dirty I am following the clean spots on the walls in Umass and Memphis where banners used to be. Now I am sure there have been more than these 2, but I can only think of 2 coaches that got cheating twice, Calipari who is the head coach at Kentucky, and Kelvin Sampson who got run out of NCAA basketball and is now an assistant for the Bucks. Oh and FYI the NCAA right now is in B-ham AL, aka home of Eric Bledsoe wondering who paid he and his mothers rent and about the miraculous improvement of his grades and test scores from his junior to senior years. Maybe we should ask Derek Rose how that happens?
ReplyDeleteAnd Pulley I agree I can't stand Johnny Miller. My Dad played in a few Pro Ams with him in the 70's back when they had a tournament in Columbus. He said he was the biggest ass hole that he had ever met.
