So what did Lebron tell us?

I think he told us that winning a Title is THE most important thing to him.  Isn’t that what we want in a professional athlete?  How many times do we want the athletes we watch to make their decisions based on winning titles not just the money?  Why is this different?  Why are we all hating on a man that just made the type of decision that we crave so many others to do?  I tell you why.  Because we viewED Lebron as a possible “Greatest of all-time” type player.  We have been convinced of it from every single media outlet since he was a senior in high school.  We were going to be able to witness the next Michael Jordan.  And all of sudden our generation became the “old guy” that kept telling these young whipper snappers that “he aint no Jordan.”  Well, we were correct.  He aint no Jordan and He aint no Kobe.  These guys didn’t have to go out and chase a title.  They brought a title to themselves.  That is what the Greats do; they bring titles home, they don’t have to go out and get them.

That said, Pat Riley sold his soul to the Devil.  He is the master mind behind what is arguably the biggest free agent signing in the history of free agency.  I can not wait to see who all he talks in to taking the league minimum just to come be apart of this.  That will be his icing on his cake.
