Curling
They're chanting and doing the wave inside the curling venue at the Vancouver Olympics, and the players are having to adjust – HOLLY SHIT!! Olympic athletes are having to adjust to the F’in Wave? The Wave?
Like an NFL quarterback preparing for a playoff game on the road – really? Your telling me a curler in a 5500 person arena, that does the wave, has anything in common at all with a QB in a road playoff game?
On Saturday night, the crowd broke into a spontaneous rendition of "O Canada" toward the end of Canada's men's match against Britain. Members of both teams agreed it was a great moment – Yea, I bet it is very similar to when Virginia Tech comes out to “Sandman” by Metalica and you have over 85 thousand people (some so crazy they will shoot a bunch of people during class) screaming and bouncing up and down. Can you imagine “setting up” to send the “rock” down to land in the “house” while 5,500 liberal tree hugging Canadians sing O’Canada?
I don’t know about you but I’m actually starting to like this curling stuff. Yesterday I was screaming YAR!! YAR!! As the Americans tried to hold on to the win. Tonight the Americans will take on Chinamen and I will be fist pumin in my living room when those slant eyed yellow commie bastards try to stand in the way of an American Curling GOLD. I don’t know if it will be seen on NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, or USA but you bet your sweet ass I will be watching and screaming YAR!! (if anybody can tell me what the hell yar means and/or why they scream it; it would be greatly appreciated)

Texas to the Big 10?
Happy Wednesday

Quick Note
Happy Tuesday
Jody posed the question about who will make the best QB out of this years draft? Here is what Kiper and McCshay have on their lists, let me know if yours is different.
Kiper's Board McCshay's Board
Bradford Bradford
Clausen Clausen
McCoy McCoy
LeFevour Pike
Tebow Tebow
Sam Bradford is 6-4 223. I did not know that. I thought he was shorter and smaller. At of all these QB's Bradford to me seems like he has the best arm. i also like the fact that he played at a big school. i understand that you got your joe flacos out there but they are few and far between. Let me be clear here. I DO NOT PICK A QB IN FIRST ROUND!!! There is 5 OT's randed in the top 32 and i would take the 5th one before i picked up a QB. so if im asked who i would prefer... its Bradford. if im a GM and drafting, then i probably pick up Tony Pike @ 23 years old and 6-6 and see if i can groom him into something. if i dont have a QB and i have to have a QB right now. then i trade for one. i would rather have a Pennington type QB than to start a rookie that is not going to play good that im paying more than anybody on the team.

State of the Program
Alabama – A+ I want to say that Saban is doing something dirty up in T-town and that they will be back on probation in 3 or 4 years, but nothing in his past would suggest such. I also would like to say that I don’t think he will be there in 5 years but after the ND job came open (ND paid out more than Saban is currently making now) and not even a rumor came up about Saban even being interested, I guess I cant even say that anymore. Maybe its time that we (I) just accept the fact that he is just that good. I may not like him. I may think he is the anti-Christ, but absoulty nothing suggest anything other Saban in T-Town and Bama in the SEC championship regularly. Keep in mind, we are just now getting to the players that Saban recruited. He has had back to back undefeated regular seasons with Shula’s guys…
Auburn – B- The tigers are on their way back up. With a great recruiting class and an energized coaching staff, things are looking up for the Tigers. Here is what they got going against them… Right now the cupboard is pretty bare. And by the time the coaching staff can get a deep enough team to compete in the SEC then Malzone will be accepting a Head Coaching job somewhere else. That will be devastating to the program. After Chizik fails on his next Coordinator hire and the Tigers drop off on offense then Chizik will be replaced and who ever comes in will have a much much more talented team. Auburn is 7 years out from competing for an SEC title.
Tennessee – C- Alright, I love the fact that the Vols got Dooley but lets be honest here… The program is in pretty bad shape right now. Dooley will do good enough to go 7-6 maybe 8-5 and in 3 or 4 years the Vols will be looking for another Head Coach. This time the timing will be better and they will get a proven Coach that will carry the program back to where it belongs.
Georgia – B+ Two words… Todd Grantham. Anybody who pays attention saw that Ga can score points. Bobo is growing into a pretty damn good offensive coordinator but the Dawgs cant stop anybody. Well see if Grantham is worth 750K a year and if the Dawgs are competing for a SEC title or if Richt is on his way out. If Grantham doesn’t work out then the Dawgs could be in bad trouble.
LSU – C+ Les Miles is being exposed as not a good in game coach. The guy can recruit like hell but it just seems like when the game is on the line that your waiting for Miles to screw up instead of man up. How far will LSU have to drop before they make a switch will determine how long LSU stays a C+
Florida – A I’m not sure if I’m just hoping but something is going on down in the swamp. Meyer takes a leave and then the next day says he will be coaching this year.. this is after he loses Strong to Louy. Then he hires Edwards and then Edwards leaves for the Bills a month later. Like I say, maybe I’m just hoping.. but with UT down, and Fla having to play Bama in T-town this year.. Ga has a good west schedule.. maybe the Gayterds don’t make it back to Atlanta. BUT!! As long as Meyer is on the side lines, you have to give them a A.
(for reese cup)
Georgia Tech – C- Anytime a team can get a couple of weeks to prepare for the triple option they normally shut it down. Paul Johnson is a great coach, but I need to see a little more before I give Tech a B. this year was one of the Dawg’s worse years on defense and they shut PJ down. If you cant beat your in state rival when they are down then you damn sure cant beat them when they are up.

QB'S in the SEC
Here is how i see the SEC lining up in the QB position...
#1 Arkansas - Mallet is obviously the most talented QB in the SEC. i dont think i should get any arguments here
#2 Alabama - really its a no brainer at #2. i mean the guy has a NC ring on his hand and in my mind, should have gotten the MVP of the SEC championship game.
Here is where it starts to get interesting...
#3 Florida - How can i put a 1st year starter over some returning starters?
#4 USC - I think Garcia will get a lot better this year. he is smart and has a great head coach that i think has groomed him and he has potential to have a break out year... or he may look like he did against uconn
#5 LSU - Jesus! how in the hell do i have Jordan Jefferson at #5???
#6 Auburn - I'm going out a limb here and picking Cam Newton (or lab top)
#7 Kentucky - Hartline is back and is a pretty consistest QB but nothing special
#8 Georgia - not because im a homer.. and really not because i think the QB battle is better than the ones under here.. really because i think GA's offensive line is better than the remaining teams that dont know who their QB will be. thats fair. isnt it?
#9 Mississippi State - Chris Relf looked good against Ol Miss last year and with Dan Mullin.. im almost tempted in moving Miss ST up a couple of notches.
#10 Vandy - Jordan Rodgers is Arron Rodgers' brother. i didnt know this. but now that i do i cant put them at the bottom
#11 Ol Miss - Nathan Stanley and Raymon cotton have never came out of my mouth before and i know nothing about them. i do know that jevan sneed was a very talented QB and Nutt helped him look like shit so imagine what they will do with a new guy
#12 Tennessee - I'm sorry rusty. its not personal, UT has a 3 way battle for the QB spot and the program is on its 3rd Head Coach in 3 years.. that normally doesnt fair will for a rookie QB.

Huh?
Mark Richt doesn't have the talent or the drive to overtake Florida this year. He and the dogs seem content to simply have "Winning seasons" and bowl games and some are wondering where the hunger is on this team.
Tennessee is still rebuilding and changing regimes yet again. This is the third coach in three years and that can't translate into a big season in anyone's book.
Auburn? Please folks, did you miss the late season melt down? If anyone thinks one recruiting class makes a difference in one year, change your diaper and quit getting fairy tales read to you. While they may be improving, they're not in Alabama's league yet.
I dont know about you guys but the SEC is all but boring to me. While we had a rematch in the SEC championship game we still had extremly close games through out the year. I understand that Florida and Bama are the favorites to play for it again this year but "boring"? really? was watching Bama having to block a field goal in the final seconds to beat UT boring? and that same evening watching Florida struggle at Mississippi State, was that boring? and that was just one day in the SEC. evey conference game Bama played last year they were a favorite to win and my close friend jody who is a ridiculous bama fan knew that no matter who they were playing that Bama better be ready because anybody in the SEC can beat anybody else. and as long as we have that, then, to quote yoda... boring the SEC is not.

Odds to win 2011 Super bowl
Ok Ok Ok
Georgia hired the 3rd final coach from Vandy. he was the LB's coach their and more importantly he was the recruiting coordinator. Now i know that Vandy doesnt top the head lines with 5star guys year in and year out but it appears from the outside (and i couldnt be any further outside) that CMR is putting together a pretty damn good staff. after watching that super bowl and seeing a 3-4 totally screw up the best QB in the league was fun. I got a good feeling about this year...
sorry for the lack of post recently. i promise to get some new shit for you soon.

The Skinny on UGA's class of 2010
Speak up
Tuesday, February 2, 2010
Glad you guys made it for the first time.......but now the honeymoon is over!
Off the field tale of the tape
1. The Saints at the beginning of the season set their goal to be IN the Super Bowl. Since the NFC Championship game they have been celebrating like they are the world champs. I cannot imagine how hard it is to work all season long to accomplish your goal and then after you accomplish it turn around and set a new one with two weeks to build the same motivation that is required to win the Super Bowl.
2. Everyone loves the story of how the city of New Orleans has rallied around the Saints, I will admit it is a good story, BUT that was over 4 years ago how long is a team supposed carry their fans before the debt is re payed, it is added pressure that the Saints surely don't need. "Win one for the Gipper" would not have meant as much if they would have told Sayers that for four years in a row.
On the field
1. The Colts are short handed without Dwight Freeny (we all know what he can do) and Jerrad Powers who started at corner all year but did not play in the Championship game ( the reason Braylon had a walk in touch down on a backup CB) I will admit their D is looking not too hot. But they are still better than the Saints D. The Saints have relied heavily on turnovers all year, a category which they were in the top teams in the league, despite that their defense is still ranked 25th. So I think Colts still have the edge on D because with Payton not turning the ball over it will be a long day for them.
2. Both teams seem to have an equally explosive offense but this is not the case. The saints rely on long down field passes and swing passes but do not have much of a passing for a 3rd 8 type situation with most their passes being 12 yards or more I suspect the Colts ( especially if Powers plays) will keep everything in front of them, and have LB's that are athletic enough not to let the swing passes eat them up. True the Saints have a better running game but it is not better than the Jets or Ravens and the Colts shut both of them down. And don't try to tell me well the Saints shut down AP because they did not he had huge game despite his 3 fumbles. Manning on the other is a wizard behind the center. You never know where the ball is going and even if you get lucky before the snap and guess the right formation he will just see your linebacker smiling and change the play to go the other direction.
In summation
Colts 28 Saints 17

What type of S&C does Bama have?
Bye Bye Brett - Pre super bowl talk

hang it up man. go back down to southern mississippi and deer hunt, fish, hang out at the local gas station and let people tell you how good you are. cause thats what its all about itsnt it brett? dont you just want to feel wanted. dont you just want programs to go out of their way, to put jobs on the line, to cause all kind of controvsy just for you? thats what its all about aint it brett? are you going to go on fox news this year? how many times are you going to lie between now and the beginning of next season brett? oh, you dont want to talk about it right now? ok, my bad. since you are brett favre i guess what ever you say goes. but before you ride off to do your next wrangler commercial can i ask you what it feels like to be in the NFC championship game twice in 3 years and end both games the exacte same way... with a pick? i guess you wouldnt have it any other way would you brett? i mean who else are you going to let win or lose the game? well brett, you can rest assured that i dont give 2 shits whether you come back, retire, go on greta, or coach a high school team. i could care less brett, because im sick of you. im sick of hearing about you. im sick of seeing you. and maybe, just maybe, the vikings are sick of you also. i mean hell, you have burned every bridge you have ever crossed so be sure not to let this one pass you by.
So lets talk about the big one. im sure we will have plenty of talk about which side to be on in this game and intially what im looking at is the point movement. what made the points move from 4 to 5 1/2? and why so fast? and whats up with the total? it drops from 56 to 55 1/2 and then climbs back up to 56 1/2. so the early money is obvioulsy going on Colts and Under and then others are jumping on the over to move it back up. I do like the fact that the colts have the "been there done that" on their side and playing a super bowl virgin. The saints didnt handle the pressure that good towards the end of the season when they were still undeffeated. but 5 1/2? the colts seem to be really good and after watching the saints/vikings game you really had to have the feeling that the vikings lost the game more than the saints won it. plus i spoke to a guy today that was at the game and he said, "joe, it was the loudest i had ever heard that place. i go to 3 or 4 lsu games a year and death valley has never been that loud." wow, saints had a huge home field advantage, playing a 40 year old qb that they put on the ground every other play (it seemed), plus the vikings turned the ball over 15 times (again, it seemed), and the saints still had to go in over time to win... i love dogs and i love them even more in the super bowl but im leaning towards the colts early. stay tuned for either a change of heart or a stronger feeling...

March Madness or BCS National Champ
Championship weekend.. i want to see some picks. The lines we are using on picks are Indy -8 & 39 and NO -3 1/2 & 53. you dont have to pick a side and you dont even have to pick every game but i want to see some picks damn it.
also, this morning on mike and mike i heard that the colts were behind in 9 games this year. when you go back and see how close they won most of their games it makes the 8 point line look almost crazy. something is going on with this line. its been a heavy favorite playoff and it seems like vegas is begging you to bet on the dog. Most of you guys know how much i love dogs but stay with the heavy favorites here and then take the dog in the big one.

Cod Lock cont..
Its not a Perdiction when its Guaranteed...Its a COD LOCK
AFC Championship. The Colts played the J.E.T.S. Jets! Jets! Jets! and the Jets! Jets! Jets! Lost! Lost! Lost! Bad! Bad! Bad! Peyton Manning demonstrated again why defenses do not fair well when Peyton sees them twice in a months time. Peyton connected with 3 different targets for touchdowns while Sanchez looked like... well, a rookie. This looked just like the Colts team that went to the Super Bowl a few years back. Their D was horrible against the run in the regular season and then just flat out shut down running teams in the playoffs. If you think for one second that the Jets play better D than the Ravens then you obviously didn't watch the game this weekend. The Colts totally dismantled the Jets D and watching Rex Ryan's face towards the end of the game looked just like that deer i almost hit with my car.
Colts 28 New York 10
NFC Championship was next and I will share my thoughts on that game in a little while. It was a little closer than the AFC game but with 7 min. to go in the 4th Qt you had no doubt who would cover.

Catching up
Speaking of Class, am i the only person that thought that Favre's 4th Qt touchdown with 2 minutes to go on 4th down up 27-3 was the most classless thing i had ever seen. i really felt that blunt's knock out punch to the boise state guy this past year was a more classy thing to do at the end of the game then what Childress and Favre did. I rank it up there with Tyson biting Holifield's ear. That one play made me think even less personally of a person that at one time i had so much respect for. Watching Brooking go over to side lines to tell Favre what he thought about it was a nice touch, just wish i could have heard what he said...
Hypocrite!! yea, thats me. as soon as i talk about how important class is i want to say my favorite player in the NFL is Jared Allen. when brooking did go over to the side lines to talk shit to favre, Allen was there to let him know that he would stomp hiss ass if he came any closer. i love the way he plays the game. when Minn is on defense i watch allen on every single play. even the ones he is not directly involved in he is still so much fun to watch. be sure to check him out against the Aints this weekend.
Play off predictions gone bad. i picked Philly and SD to go to the super bowl and neither one are even playing this weekend. Cod locks stick out again. I also liked the Cardinals and under this past weekend and it almost went over in the first half...
The Dawgs hire a DB's coach from Uconn. maybe he want have another player die on him this year...
Watching the Dallas D was pretty fun this past weekend and hearing Wade phillips say that Grantham was "grossly over quatlified for his postion as D line coach" also made me feel good. If jones fires Phillips i think he is a moron.
Marty ball... while i like Scareface Turner i think the chargers are regreting firing marty. seems it didnt make much of a difference.
i got hammered this weekend. went out to eat at a great place and everything was going great until i got 3 crown and cokes for free... after that i was whiskey bent and hell bound. for real...
Picks for this weekend.. I taking both home teams to win and im not picking Against The Spread.. and i reserve the right to go in and edit this blog after the games and change my picks to both road teams..
is it just me or is Rex Ryan a goofy fat ass? i'm trying to like the guy but he just gets on my damn nerves.
Kentucky got a scare from Auburn this weekend in B Ball... Wait a minute.. who gives a shit?

We finally have a defensve coordinaror
"I look forward to developing an aggressive, physical, attacking style defense that offenses will not look forward to playing against."
Dawg fans, I think we have ourselves a coach that is gonna turn our defense around. Can't wait to see our next year's D already. Gooooo Dawgsssss!!!!!!

National Title
That said… If McCoy plays in that ball game Texas wins by double digits. With 3 minutes to go in the game down by 3… there is no way that game should have been that close. And that is even after the ridiculous shuttle pass call from Mac Brown then Texas goes in to halftime down 17-6 with life. Especially when Gilbert Grape started coming in to his own and starts completing passes. If they were not trying to dig out of such deep hole I really think that Texas has legitimate chance to win that game. Hell, they had a legitimate chance with a 24-6 hole.
Mack Brown out coached Nick Saban. That’s right. And if any of you Alabama fans don’t admit that then you are wearing Saban colored glasses. I’m not saying Brown is a better coach, I’m saying that Brown was with in 3 points with a freshman QB on a team that is built around the QB on the bench - with 3 minutes to go - with the ball. You cant draw an analogy on the bama side. Bama is a more balanced team and you can basically plug people in (ie Richardson for Ingram). I understand that is due to coaching that is why I just said that I don’t believe that Brown is a BETTER coach than Saban but he did out coach him in that game.
Overall, the SEC just won its 4th straight Title. No other conference has ever won 4 straight titles and this helps all of us SEC teams out. It basically secures us in the Title game in any “controversial” year. If the 04 season is played next year then Auburn plays for the National title and for that every SEC school needs to thank Alabama, Florida, and LSU. Thank you, hopefully one of us can keep the streak going next year.

todd grantham???
As for Richt.. who he hires has a lot to do with how he will go into next season in the minds of the fans. Van Gorder was really a no name and he worked out pretty damn good so richt is really batting .500 while hiring people that are not "proven" in the minds of the fans. Can you imagine how excited we will be with a name like SMART vs. how nervous we will be with a guy named... hold on... yea, Grantham?

Who is hot and Who is not?
All this talk about recruiting and coaching and all that has got me wondering who are the best coaches and who are the guys that need to go? I will provide you a list of my 5 best, 5 most underrated, and 5 most overrated at this time.
5 best.
1. Nick Saban- As much as it pains me to say this being and Auburn fan I have too. Having that much success at 2 different SEC schools, and turning around a program with no depth and thin on talent that quickly he is actually worth every penny.
2. Pete Carroll- If for no other reason he continually gets the best QB in the nation to come sit on his bench for 2 or 3 years then sends them on their way to the NFL(with this year being the lone exception). Not to mention no one is more consistent in the BCS games, yeah I know he lost a big one but how many has he won?
3. Urban Meyer- The only reason I have Urban behind these two guys is that USC and Alabama were in shambles when they took over and Urban took over a team that already the pieces of a contender put in place. Ron Zook is one of the best recruiters in the nation . Urban was more capable of coaching up the talent that was already there.
4.Mack Brown- Consistently one of the best recruiters and nicest guys in college football. He has had some GREAT players come through there, for years he had trouble converting his on the field talent into actual national championship hopes, I think he has since figured out how to do that.
5. Jim Tressell- I know I know I hate him as much as you guys do, but he owns the Big Ten and even though he doesn't always win the big game he always gets to one. He wins old school with Defense and running the ball and you have to give him credit for changing that a little when he got a QB that could more. The fact he is evolving his offensive strategy ( which has always been the knock on him) means big trouble for the big ten.
5 most underrated.
1. Gary Patterson- I know he is a hot topic lately but news flash this is not the first year that TCU has been a great team. He has always been a few pieces away from being able to compete in any conference and with two great years in a row and some young players to boot, watch out for the frogs to consistently try and push its way in the top 10 year after year.
2. David Cutcliffe- SEC fans know how good this guy is especially UT fans. I don't know if you noticed but Duke mattered in the ACC this year, and yes I do mean in football. I would say that Duke is on the rise and could compete to win their side within the next 4 years, but I won't, because Cutcliffe will have a much better job by then.
3. Mike Leetch- I know this bad timing for old Mike but if you at his track record he shouldn't be jobless for long. Everywhere he has been they were better when he left refer to Valdosta State, Kentucky, and now you can add TT to that list. Athletes, mainly QB's and WR's will come find the guy no matter where he is, and they are smart to do so.
4. Bo Pellini- Nebraska got a steal with this guy as their head coach and the impact was immediate. The only reason he is number 4 on my list instead of 2 is because it takes longer for defensive genius to build his defense than an offensive guru to build and offense, but I think we all saw this year that the black shirts are on their way back.
5. Houston Nutt- He has never really had a superior team in the SEC with the Razorbacks but no one was excited about playing them. I think Snead's bad was a blessing to him still going to and winning the Cotton Bowl and getting Snead back. Give him a few years to stack some recruits and Archie will be proud.
5 most overrated
1. Les Miles- The wheels are slowly starting too fall off at LSU there are so many times you can win games by not knowing how much time is on the clock and throwing hail mary's. LSU is a built in recruiting mecca every player in Louisiana( where there are some outstanding high school football player) dreams of playing for LSU is not hard to get players yet he keeps getting the wrong ones.
2. Paul Johnson- I know, I know back to back ACC championship games, so what! Have you seen the ACC lately? The option out dated you don't need speed, or strength, or even athletes to stop it. Only discipline. I think he has proved he will never win a big bowl game, a month to prepare for the triple option equals complete shutdown of the triple option. Paul will be back in D1AA in 5 years.
3. Mark Richt- This brings me the most pleasure to type, not because of Mark I have met him and he is a great guy, but because of all you obnoxious UGAy fans( thanks Pulley I am using that one now). Every year his recruiting class is surrounded by the likes of Florida, Texas, USC, Oklahoma and LSU. Yet they have one thing UGA does not, a crystal trophy shaped like a football. No team in my opinion has had recruiting classes as good as UGA's for a constant period of time and has no titles to show for it.
4. Bobby Patrino- Yes he had a couple of years at Louisville. Then didn't cut it in the NFL and the reason is against NFL or SEC defenses you can't throw the ball 60 times a game and expect to be consistent. Which is why he ride the Arkansas thing until he sees the the grim future of what he brought to the program and he will bail for a Pac 10 job long before Arkansas crumbles.
5. Steve Spurrier- Yes I know I hate to say it as much as you hate to hear it. Has SC gotten better, yes they have but they didn't bring in the old ball coach to make them better, Lou Holtz did that, they brought him in to win, which he hasn't done in an awful long time I wonder if he forgot how. The days of Danny W and 5 wide are gone he just won't get those players at SC. I give him years before he practicing his swing to try and make the Champions tour.
Not so fast
from Starrett to Pulley
"Bama has the #1 rated class coming in"....
By what service? Not Scout, not rivals, not ESPN. Bamarecruitinginsiderolltideroll? maybe?
Referencing Kirby Smart...what do you think he's going to say? He may or may not leave to come to UGA but here are the facts, UGA has not named a coordinator, is it maybe b/c their #1 target has not coached his final game? If UGA were targeting someone besides Kirby, I think we'd have an announcement by now. We know Muschamp isn't in the picture and I would guess that we aren't looking at Central Michigan or Troy assistants, so I'll assume we are still pursuing Kirby. "Why the hell would he do that?" Well lets think about it logically, first of all he played at UGA. Most people form relationships at college and tend to migrate back to that area if possible. He is good friends with Mike Bobo whom he played with which would mean he and a good friend are coordinators for a traditional SEC power. He would have TOTAL control of the defense. Does he have that at Bama - don't thinks so as Saban is a defensive guy. He'll name two of his own assistants. Like I said, whether or not he comes, I don't know. But for Bama fans to act like its nonsense further proves your original point about their arrogance Joe. No offense to you personally BP, just calling it like I see it.

Best of 2009
(of course all you have to do is click on the link to go to that post)
John Starrett tells everyone how to "slay your bookie" with 3 losers - plus some pretty damn good pics on this post
"Steinhatchee" could have been my best post of the year, to bad i did it so early
"Double Digit dog could win outright"... and did. plus the pictures of Ashley Judd helped this make the list
"Why I hate Ga Fans" from Rusty was just a great post. along with "To Rusty, I'm Sorry" together made October 9th the highest ranked blog hits for the year
"Pretty Good Seats" also made the list
and "calling out Meet Joe Black" could be one of my Fav's (be careful for heavy profanity on this post from Pulley)
A big thanks to Reese, Starrett, Pulley, Rusty, Jody, and Culpepper. AND to all of the blogs fan base, "I promise to make this blog the best blog and I promise to not let any other blog out work me and you will never see another blog push his team harder than this blog will push its bloggers. God Bless."

1st - Mike Leach – Adam James is a spoiled rotten little bitch. When I saw him walking around on the sidelines of the TT/Mich St game with his little stocking cap on bobbing his head, like obviously his daddy Craig did when he went down on the chanclor, I got madder and madder. Mike Leach is the best thing to ever happen to the Tech football program and Adam James looks like the bully in karate kid (do you remember how bad you hated Johnny from the first karate kid?)

2nd - Playoffs – I hate the fact that the regular season ended this way with 3 rematches in the first round but it kind of helps my argument against a college playoff. Imagine if Bama had to play Florida again in the quarter final of a playoff bracket. But, as for the teams in the playoffs, I cant remember when this many teams had a really really good shot to win the superbowl. When you start looking at the teams I could make a case for several, but here is what Im thinking, right now… I may have to many upsets.
Wild Card Round
AFC
4 Cinncy over 5 NY jets
6 Balt over 3 NE (UPSET!!!)
NFC
6 Philly over 3 Dallas (UPSET!!!)
5 G Bay over 4 Arizona
Divisional Round
AFC
(SD would have Cinncy since Balt beat NE )
SD over Cinncy
Balt over Indy (UPSET!!!)
NFC
NO over Philly
Gbay over Zona
Conference Championship
New Orleans over Minnesota
San Diego over Baltimore
SUPER BOWL
San Diego over New Orleans as a 6 point Under Dog.
3rd – Big 10 – if the Big 10 adds 2 teams to form a 12 team conference then what will it be called since the Big 12 is already taken. I’m going with the Big North. I know, its good.
4th – Georgia Coaching search – “just a little patience, yeaaaaaa yea. Just a little patience. Yeaaaaaaaa yea. I've been walking these streets at night, Just trying to get it right (Need some patience, yeaaaaaaaaaaaa) It's hard to see with so many around, You know I don't like being stuck in a crowd (Could use some patience, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa) And the streets don't change but maybe the name, I ain't got time for the game!”
all im saying is have a little patience people. If we land smart then it was worth the wait. If we land No Name from No Where University, then we will sing a different song.Thursday, December 31, 2009

3 BOWL COD LOCKS!!!!
Last Year on the 7 games that were played before Christmas the Over hit on 5 out of 7 games.
Between Christmas and New Years Day the Under Hit 15 out of 20 games.
Then on January the 2nd when the Cotton, Liberty, and Sugar bowls played we had the Dog win outright in all 3 games.
We had 4 games with a total of 70 plus points and in all 4 games the Under hit.
And What about this… of the TOP 10 Scoring offenses in 2008 only 1 went Over and 9 went Under.
After looking at all of this here is what I have come up with..
Boise State playing TCU with a total of 55…. UNDER!!!!!!!!!!
Cinncy playing Florida with a total of 57…. UNDER!!!!!!!!
And now for the COD LOCK pick of the bowl games.. this one cant lose and you can watch it on Christmas EVE while your all boozed up and trying to put together some bullshit toy that your wife bought that has 1800 pieces and none of them are colored coded and your trying to find piece AA to put in 1B and you need to use the 3rd smallest screw in the world before you have to decal the bastard. Anyway, take the under in the Nevada/SMU game. The total is 73, remember how all 70 plus totals went under. AND you have the 5th highest scoring team in the nation, remember how 9 out of 10 highest scoring offenses went UNDER. The only thing that concerns me is that the game is played before Christmas and we did have 5 out of 7 go over last year before Jesus’ Birthday and it was in this bowl but it was Notre Dame and if your remember they had a field day out their and they did have baby Jesus on their side. TAKE THE UNDER ON CHRISTMAS EVE and after you completely screw that toy up that you were trying to put together… you can go buy you another one on me.

And the search goes on
I’m going to continue giving you names that are still being talked about in Athens. Keep in mind people that there is absolutely no substance to any name or any list. But these names are not just who I’m making up, I am actually hearing or reading about these names.
Kirby Smart (his name will be flying around until he actually comes out a publicly says something a lot more concrete than what he said at the award ceremony)
Brain Van Gorder (I’m not sure why he is still being talked about. I kind of threw his name out of the mix but for some reason his name is not dieing)
Ellis Johnson (this is another name that kind of want go away, and I’m kind of glad. He is not my 1st choice but defiantly some one that I wouldn’t mind falling back on)
Dick Bumpas (again, still being talked about but Gary Paterson just got a raise and if im not badly mistaken he is getting all of his assisatances raises also – but I would love this guy. I’m not sure I wouldn’t put him #1 on my list. For real, his stache alone is motivating)
Now for some guys that I have just recently heard about… instead of me telling you about them, just click on their name and you will go to their bio. Or wikipedia page
Reggie Herring -
Bob Sanders - be sure to click "more" to read his full bio.
Manny Diez - this guy may be worth taking a gamble on.

Dont Hate the BCS
Well here is my concern my friends… While I would just absolutely love a 4 or 8 team playoff I know that it wouldn’t stay that number for long. And eventually it would grow and grow to the point that it would be about a 24 team tourney. Before you tell me that would be ridiculous, before you tell me that the reason there is so many teams in the March Madness is the amount of teams there are in D1 BBall. There are 347 teams in D1 basketball and 65 make the tourney. That’s just shy of 20% of the teams. There are 120 D1 (It will always be D1 to me) teams and 20% would be 24. You see where I’m going with this? The NCAA tourney started out with 8 teams and has grown slowly to 65 and I don’t want to see College football go from 4 to 24. All you would need to do is make the top 24 and you got a chance to win the National Title. Ask yourself how lame the non-conference schedule would be then. Ask yourself how many Bama-V Tech, USC-Ohio ST, Ga-Okl St, etc… how many of those games would you see if all you needed to do was make the top 24? College football has the best regular season of any sport by far and because every single game counts. Every single Saturday something happens that closes doors for somebody and opens up doors for others. We would lose all of that just so we could have a “clear cut” national champion. As for me, the National Title has been pretty clear cut. I mean, just as clear cut as the NFL. Last year the Arizona Cardinals got their asses handed to them the last 3 games of the regular season and it didn’t matter one bit, still had a chance to play in the big one. The New England Patriots beat the New York Giants in New York and then a month and half later lost to lose the Super Bowl. Imagine if Florida and Bama got matched up again this year in a playoff National Title and Florida wins by 2 points. Would Florida be the “clear cut” National Champion? Hell NO!!!!! So if you think for a second that a playoff solves all problems then you are wrong. The only thing that gives you a clear cut Champion is a best of series and you cant have that with football.
As I said earlier that I would LOVE to see a 4 team playoff or a “plus one” kind of deal… but its not worth the chance of getting some 24 team playoff in the future. So be careful what you wish for.. once you get it, it will be here for good.
Friday
speaking of coaches Billy Gonzales is no longer part of the Florida football staff and with multiple players leaving early for the draft... who knows but we obviously will get to see a Urban Myer that we havnt ever seen before.
KER - BEE!!! KER-BEE!!! KER-BEE!!!
on the Kirby watch we have had what appears to be more rumors than anything but at least we can still see smoke and normally you dont see this much smoke with out some fire. The good thing about this is that obviously Richt is going about this in the most professional manner that you can imagine. its nice that we haven't publicly been turned down by 3 or 4 people. Richt is doing a great job keeping this out of the rumor mills but is the reason no other names are surfacing because we dont want them to? Are we all completely selling out on the idea of Kirby or nothing? I hope not. dont get me wrong, i want the kirbster more than anyone but some of the other names that were being thrown around earlier weren't to shabby either... with the Gayterds needing to replace strong and who knows about other coaching jobs that are about to come open, im about to start to get a little nervous!
I have been told by someone who considers them self a "insider" that the Smart announcement will come by next wed. PLUS Travis Jones has already been contacted and offered a postion on Smart's staff. I have not confirmend this but i just sent Bobo a text and im waiting for his reply.

3 COD LOCKS!!!
ALABAMA 41
Last year I was very fortunate to be able to attend this ball game and I felt that it was one of the better ball games that I have ever seen live. In 4TH qt I witnessed a man take over a ball game like I have never seen before. Tebow completed passes in that quarter that I didn’t think were possible. Having said that I have been reading things this week about how dominant Florida and Tebow was last year in this very same game. What I am not reading is how less dominate Tebow has been this year after he was laid out in the Kentucky game. Lets just look at the scores alone. (NOTE: ONLY SEC GAMES WILL BE FIGURED IN ALL OF MY STATS AND AVERAGES) The Gators have scored 255 points in all 8 games this year compared to 360 last year. That’s 2 TD’s per game that they are scoring less this year than last. And on the defensive side of the ball the gators are giving up almost the exact same with 12.4 in 08 and 12 in 09. I honestly feel that this can be contributed to a couple of things. I think that when Florida played UT that Myer had a very conservative game plan and new he didn’t need to score many points to win, same against LSU. The LSU game alone Fla scored 38 points less than the year before. And in the So Carolina game the gators scored 32 points less. They are a much more conservative team this year and Vegas obviously agrees seeing that both of these teams on defense are not that much better from the year before but yet the total in the game is 2 TD’s less than last year. Alabama on offense is scoring just 1 point less per SEC contest and giving up just 2 points less than last years D from 12.6 in 08 and 10.6 in 09. And Bama is scoring 6 points less than last years team even with a heisman contender in Mark Ingram, even though I think Coffee is a better RB than Ingram.
With all this said I feel the game will come down to McClains ability to read the misdirection plays that Florida will be throwing at him. I don’t think he did a very good job against Auburn and if the Bama nation thinks that Auburn runs a high school offense and that’s the only reason why they were able to score on them then what do you call Florida’s offense when Tebow pitches it inside to a TE or Demps runs around for a reverse or when Tebow fakes a run up the middle and does a F’n jump pass? What do you call that offense Tide fans? What ever it is it works when you have talent and Florida has plenty of that. As for my pick…. I started this blog out with full intentions of picking Bama to win out right. I even called the radio show this morning and picked Bama but the more I look into this game the more I realize that Florida is a better football team and they flat out know how to win ball games. In the 4th Qt when the game is on the line, who would you pick Tebow or Mcleroy? I think Bama may keep it close, may even cover but the Gators go back to the National Title and my pick on the game is the OVER!! Something like a 27 – 23 type ball game maybe 27 – 20. either way the game goes over.
THE PANEL AS A GROUP WAS A COMPLETE TOSS UP. WE WERE ALL OVER THE BOARD.
BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIP
Cincinnati –2.5 wins BIG, REALLY BIG. I mean come on, who is Pitt? Who is that guy with the porn star mustache on their side lines that calls himself a coach. I know with all the hype around Kelly going to Notre Dame everyone thinks it’s a distraction but I can assure you that he has this team ready and Cinncy wins by double digits as a small favorite.
PAC 10 - 7 point dog that wins out right Washington beats Cal out right as a 7 point dog. With Best out Cal has shown that they cant do anything, take the Huskies and win BIG!!

Def. Coordinators
(click on the name of the coach and you will go to their Bio)
1st Choice
The sexy pick is Kirby Smart. Coaching with Nick Saban and helping Alabama to one of the best Defenses in the nation is the reason why Kirby is the sexiest pick out there. BUT some people believe that Kirby is going to FSU under his Ole pal Jimbo Fisher and others believe that he isn’t planning on moving till its to go to a head coaching job. My feelings are that no coach under Saban has gone to become a head coach on his next move and FSU is in a lot more trouble than Georgia talent wise. Kirby could come into a talent infested team that was horrific last year and only move up. Plus he would be under Richt so he would get full credit for the Defense. Throw in the fact that he can hire two of his coaches and you have atleast a shot at getting him.
2nd Choice
Ellis Johnson’s name has been thrown out there a good bit and I think he would be a great fit for the Bulldogs. His contract does run through 2011 but his past shows that he will leave a program under contract. The thing I like most about him is his aggressive style and when I watched South Carolina play this year I was just amazed at how hard the defense would get after the ball on every play. Ellis is obviously not looking at becoming a head coach so he wouldn’t be just a quick fix.
3rd Choice
Im going out a limb here and looking at someone who’s name hasn’t even been mentioned. Everett Withers of North Carolina served 6 years under Jeff Fisher at Tennessee and now is serving under Butch Davis. UNC is landing big name recruits left and right and their Defensive back field had 20 picks this year with 4 being returned for TD’s. GA had 8 total.
4th Choice
If we don’t have one of the top 3 then at this point im starting to panic and I go with Charlie Harbison of Clemson. Clemson ranked 21 Nationally in Defense and at this point I really don’t know who the hell else is out there. I want to stay close to home because of recruiting and Charlie ….. Wait a damn minute, this guy finished 4th in the weak ass ACC so if we don’t land the top 3 then we are just shit of luck.

Rival Week
FIRE!! Willie Martinez – really don’t need to explain why, just look at the points everyone puts up on us. OR look at the amount of forced turnovers. OR just watch a game and see how wide ass open the wide receivers are when they catch the ball.
FIRE!! Jon Fabris – Special Teams is a F'n joke this year. our kickoff coverage is pathetic and we have our second string QB Logan "fair catch" Gray fielding punt returns. is he the only kid smart enough to understand when to catch it and when to return it? Javar Arenas from Alabama is one of the best punt returners in the nation. Mike Dumbass Shula found him and Fla Atlantic was the only school to offer him a scholarship other than Bama. My point (which is hard to understand sometimes) is it cant be to hard to teach someone when to fair catch and when to run.
FIRE!! Clay Walker – Why is it that every year we get the “injury bug” as the Reverend Richt likes to say? Ill tell you why, because this queer isn’t getting our guys tough enough. Bring in some body that will shoot these guys up with some HGH and lets get it done.
FIRE!! The water girl. We don’t need Richt’s stupid wife on the side lines. Put her ass up in the stands with all of her adopted kids and maybe her husband will grow a set of nutts.
On Saturday night I will smile and cry at the same time. I will smile when the Dawgs finally man up and beat this group of over achievers from the ACC and I will rejoice when I watch all of those 1600 S.A.T.’s get crazy as hell and maybe say, “shit” out loud and then giggle because their gay asses feel bad for cursing. I will on the other hand shed a tear when I see Reverend Richt embrace Wille Martinez in his arms and I will then start to pray asking the good Lord, “please Oh Lord give Mark Richt the courage to fire as many people on this Georgia staff as he can and Oh Lord please help Damon Evans to threaten the Reverend Richt that if he doesn’t grow the balls to fire at least the 4 people previously mentioned that his ass will be gone with them. Thank you Lord.”
The picks that you will think were delivered after the game was played.
BONUS PICK!! BONUS PICK!! BONUS PICK!!
TAKE THE 7 POINTS THAT THE QUEERS FROM ATLANTA ARE LAYING AND WATCH THE DAWGS KEEP THIS GAME WITH IN 7 POINTS.
Arizona –3 @ Arizona State
Zona is coming off a hard double overtime loss to the Ducks of Oregon so this week should be a let down right? Next week Arizona has USC so this is a look ahead right? NO AND NO!! this is why the line is a RIDCULOUS 3. Zona has wins against ucla, Stanford, and a really tough Oregon state team and came close to beating one of the hottest teams in the Nation in Oregon. Arizona State has wins against Idaho St, Louisiana-Mon, Wash St, and Washington, that’s it… that’s the only teams they have beaten this year.. and they are only getting 3 points against a team that like the wild cats who actually had a chance to win the PAC 10 this year? Home dog in a in state rival screams take em, right? No sir re bob, not in this one my friend, not in this one.. zona is 5 and 2 against the spread in the last 7 games played @ Arizona State and last year won this game at home 31-10 as a 13 point favorite. This year Zona is better and State is worse..
Wild Cats (MEEEYAHHHOOWWWW)
Mizzo vs. Kansas
Alright MANgeno is on his way out the door and your not going to see a “win one for the gipper” because the team hates him. HATES HIM!!! The team wants his fat ass gone and he has lost complete control of this locker room. Not one player has come forth and stood up for the fat guy and what on earth makes Vegas think that this will be less than a touchdown ball game.. Mizzo is coming in on a 2 game winning streak while the gayhawks are on a 6 game losing streak (after starting 5 and 0 by the way). Its been all down hill as of late for the hawks and Mizzo comes in and takes advantage.
Mizzo –3

THE DAWGS
Maybe I’ll have time to get some more picks up today
